Welcome to Sailing Bistari, a chronical of our sailing adventure.

The year of covid was a time of reflection. What did we want to do while we still have the time and our health?

In 2021 binge watching You Tube Channels Sailing Uma and Sailing Delos provided the catalyst. How cool would it be to let go of it all - house, business, our possessions and sail away. A new travel mode for exploring - life at sea.

To make this a reality we had three punch list items:

1) sell our business

2) sell our house

3) buy the boat.

And so, we did. The business closed in October 2021; our house sold in December 2021, and we bought Bistari in January 2022. And just like that we were nomadic live-a-boards.
